An Urgent Request for My Readers

I have an urgent request for my readers, and it is as follows.

Please do not blindly believe everything I write!

Imagine if someone you highly respected gave you an extremely valuable and useful gift. Would you throw it away? No, you would cherish it and use it. Divine Providence has given you an extremely valuable and useful gift, and this is your capacity to engage in critical thinking. Use this capacity to analyze everything I write before believing it. If you blindly believe everything I write, it is like you're throwing away your capacity for critical thinking.

Seriously, you have no idea who I am. I could be the greatest adept in the world. I could be some kid in middle school who doesn't even believe in magic but is just trying to make money off of the gullible people who believe in  magic by writing and selling books on the subject. Is that the sort of person whose statements you should blindly believe? Thinking requires some effort, but I assure you that being lazy will cause you great grief in the long run. Think about everything I write, and only believe it if it makes sense to you.

Be kind.

    1. Have you by any chance read The Courage to be Disliked, by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga?
